I bought two pairs of shoes. To be honest, I feel like a shoe freak right now. Only because I want to be comfortable and happy with my shoes on my wedding day. I ordered the blue shoes in the previous post but was REALLY disappointed with what came in the mail. They re-designed the shoe and didn't change the photo on their website: The heel is made of PLASTIC and is not covered in the pretty satin like it was pictured! The sole is a shiny silver leather and looks like a snake skin pattern. They are still pretty, but just not what I paid for. The shoe feels cheap, even though it cost me roughly $99. I am sad because I was in love with these shoes. I actually didn't even like the ankle strap on me. It made me look a lot shorter. Maybe it's because I needed a size 7 and I ordered a size 7.5. I will wait until the size 7 arrive.
Am I overreacting? I bought a different pair of shoes as "backup" in case I change my mind.
Here's what I THOUGHT I got....
Here's what I really got:
See the difference? I know it's not much. I'm very detail oriented and I guess I expected more from these shoes. Just felt a little deceived by their online photo.
So I bought these instead. They're from Poetic License and are made of quality. I LOVE them and hope they're in the correct size (i researched and converted EURO shoe size to US shoe size for hours and compared reviews from people who bought these shoes).
I've been slightly obsessed with this pair for a year now. Imagine them next to the bridesmaids' nude-colored shoes with their navy blue dresses and green floral bouquets--I love that idea. My fiance kept telling just to get the pair of shoes I really want. So, what did I really want anyway? I'm sure he couldn't really understand why I was being melodramatic about shoes. I guess it all comes down to the fact that, on our wedding day, we don't want to regret anything. I don't want to remember how uncomfortable my shoes were, but how much fun I had and also how beautiful I felt.
Call me crazy, but I just want a pair of amazing
pumps I can wear again and again after the big day.
Just not totally excited about blue shoes anymore.

Wow, what a difference! It's not much? It is HUGE! The pair you got doesn't even look like satin but more like suede and the plastic heel is ridiculous. That is a completely different shoe. I would be disappointed too!
The PL shoes are super cute, hope they turn out great and fit perfectly!
Okay, good. I'm not crazy! ;)
Even my sisters thought it was cheap looking for the amount they wanted. Ugh, such a process. The front of the shoe looks the same, but they didn't feel comfortable at all.
Yes, they better fit or else it's going to be hard to find my size since they're discontinued, ha.
those shoes from poetic licensee are amazing!!
and p.s. you're not crazy at all... one of the shoes is sapphire and the other is navy- big difference!
