Our date.

(One of our engagement photos takes by Joanna Pickett)

I must spill how excited we are to have finally chosen a wedding date. We've switched it up about three times now. The first date was the day where we first met, then the second was in May, then the third was in June. We didn't really care at that point. I guess the third time is the charm. I always felt like wedding dates had to have a special, sentimental reason. Maybe we must possess an attachment to the way the letters and numbers look. It must be attractive-looking, right? Is that weird? Or is it just typography?

Due to our graduate school plans, we had to choose a date before September. I wrote down different possible dates to choose from on orange star-shaped post it notes, tossed them in a pink box-like shopping bag. I had my fiance choose one and said it would be our date: August 3rd, 2013! :) We laughed so much afterwards and chuckled about how this will be a good story to tell people, our children, and grand-kids. It was a quick, firm, but playful decision.

P.S.
How did you and your betrothed pick the wedding date?

What a wonderful idea! Our date has not been set yet, but I may just steal your idea when the time comes ;)

I also ADORE your engagement shot... so beautiful.

Lilian,

Awe, thanks so much!

The drawing made everything much easier, I must say! It was quite random. Go ahead and try it if you need to. It was a lot of fun, too! ;)
