We write to live life twice...

...Once in the moment, and once in retrospection.
~Anais Nin

I was reading our proposal story post on my other blog called The Artist's Heart (that I have surely abandoned). I found the quote, which is the this post's title. I think that is entirely true. In my closet, I've found tons of journals in which i recorded events in my life, prayers, emotions, and scripture that I wrote down. Some were sad, others were extremely encouraging, and few were happy. I wondered why so few were of good times. That's a good lesson for me, though.

Jotting down the good moments will remind me of how incredible and beautiful God is. But I do see that heavily in the not-so-wonderful moments. Anyway, besides that, it was SO refreshing to read our proposal story (as it was fresh in my mind and heart when I wrote it). I forgot about some details that made me smile really big. I would encourage everyone to keep a journal. As humans, we tend to forget a boat-full of things. I know I do. With it, it gives us the chance to taste life again, bitter or sweet.
