P.S. I'm looking for a giant hope box so I can store recipes and other things for my future life with my husband! I know, it's traditional and something grandmas would encourage--but why not? It's a chance for us to start and pass on traditions. Have fun!
Trader Joe's [THE BEST] Chocolate Chip Cookies
(found this on the back of their chocolate chip bag)
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon basking soda
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup softened butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 package Trader Joe's semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Farenheit. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in bowl and set aside. Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, softened butter and vanilla extract and beat until creamy. Add eggs and beat. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Drop mixture by rounded teaspoons into non-greased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Recipe yields approximately 2 dozen cookies.
